The training of science teachers in the integration of ICT in teaching is a project sponsored by the World Bank through the Ministry of Education, and implemented by the Department of Information Systems, Makerere University Business School. The project will involve training over 3,800 teachers across the country from 180 clusters established in the Northern, Southern, Central, and Eastern regions of the country.
The project begins with comprehensive planning to identify key areas where ICT integration can enhance teaching effectiveness.
We develop a tailored curriculum that addresses the specific needs of science teachers in different regions, ensuring relevance and applicability.
Over 3,800 teachers are trained through workshops and hands-on sessions, focusing on the effective integration of ICT into their teaching methodologies.
We conduct ongoing monitoring and evaluation to assess the impact of the training, ensuring continuous improvement and support for teachers.
